Thinking of a large class of seniors on his Victor (N.Y.) boys’ lacrosse team, coach Jim Andre is mindful there is no redshirt year in high school sports. A player can’t sit out a year and maintain eligibility.

At a Loss for Words
The story links below appear to be the final reports from the 2020 lacrosse season. Yesterday was devastating for the entire lacrosse family, which knows no borders. I won't pretend that I am as affected as 99% of you that visit JustLacrosse, or that follow us on Twitter or are our friends on Facebook. As much as I participate in watching and sharing the comings and goings in lacrosse every day, I still can't imagine the heartbreak players and coaches at all levels are feeling today.

While I expect our role will slow for the foreseeable future, JustLacrosse Upstate will continue to follow events as they happen. For national news I urge you to look to US Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse. Our focus on Upstate lacrosse will sharpen, and I urge the Upstate family to help us by sending us any news they feel is important to share.

We will take this time to make some tweaks to JustLscrosse that will make us more efficient, more concise, and easier to navigate. This is also a great opportunity for you to help in that effort by making suggestions you've perhaps thought about but never got around to sharing. What would you like to see more of? Is out NLL coverage really necessary? Would you like more coverage of Upstate natives and alums as they pursue their pro careers?

In the meantime, stay safe, keep caring about your neighbor, and keep practicing. And remember the 14th annual St. Baldrick's Day in Oswego County on March 29th.
